It is with profound sadness that the family of William “Bill” Ostashek announces his unexpected passing on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the age of 79 years.

Bill is lovingly remembered by his wife Helen Ostashek; 3 sons: Richard, Will (Catherine), Paul; 3 grandchildren: Erica, Jordon, Sophia; in-laws: Tony (Louise) Hewak, Dave Hewak, Terry (Tracy) Hewak, Judy Mickalyk.

Bill was predeceased by his parents: Nancy Lackey (Ostashek) & Karl Lackey; mother & father-in-law: Mary & Mike Hewak; sister-in-law: Iris Kotowich.

Funeral Rite, Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., St. Elias Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Reverend Father Peter Haugen officiating. Interment to follow at Big Meadow Orthodox Cemetery.
