DION-MARTINEAU, Irene Mary

July 10, 1939 – November 18, 2025

 The family of Irene Mary Dion-Martineau sadly announce that our family matriarch crossed over Tuesday, November 18, 2025, surrounded by family and friends at the Bonnyville Healthcare Centre, at the age of 86 years.

Irene will be forever remembered and loved by her children: Cheryl Dion (Dale Christoffersen) and Kelly-Mae Dion-McFeeters; grandson: Brant Dion; grandchildren: Collette Courchene, Samantha Skye Dion-McFeeters (Tyson Slywka); capans: Tacey Courchene, Dason Courchene, Ellie Slywka & Kylie Slywka; sisters: Cecile Dion & Helen Dion and sister-in-law: Sue Dion; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, students and friends.

Irene was predeceased by her parents: Maggie & Alphonse Dion; husbands: Archie McFeeters & Lyle Martineau; grandsons: Daniel Courchene & Baby Nathan Tingey; siblings: Gus Dion & Hazel DeCorby; niece: Michelle Dion; nephew: Wade Dion; brothers-in-law: Raymond Graul, Sam DeCorby & Art Dumais.

Wake, Saturday, November 22, 2025 (leaving Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville at 1:00 p.m.), Kehewin new school, Kehewin Cree Nation & Sunday, November 23, 2025 (leaving Kehewin Cree Nation at 1:00 p.m.) Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre, Cold Lake First Nations.

Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, Cold Lake First Nations. Interment to follow at Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery.
