Obituary of Margo Lynn Mazurek

Margo Lynn Mazurek
July 25, 1954 – March 31, 2025

Margo Mazurek, 70, passed away on Monday, March 31 2025 in Bonnyville, Alberta after a courageous battle with cancer.

Margo was born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan to Orval and Ellen Tisdale on July 25, 1954. The fifth of eight children, Margo’s devotion to family began at a young age. Her family would later move to Golden, British Columbia where Margo was proud to become the first person in her family to graduate from high school. After graduation, she would meet Rick, her husband of 51 years.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Margo dedicated her life to caring for those around her. No kindness  was ever too small. Friends and family alike will remember her generous, tenacious, and big-hearted nature.

Margo is lovingly remembered by her husband, Rick Mazurek; daughter Carrie (Dean) Fox and son Derek (Dawn) Mazurek; grandchildren Sydney, Sarah (Johnny), and Sasha Fox; Maya and Stella Mazurek; Courtney (Tim) McNamara and Holly Brotton; great-grandchild Nora McNamara siblings Leslie (Lorraine) Tisdale, Marilyn (Jim) Cholette, Debbie (Al) Robertson, Guy (Janice) Tisdale, and Christine Schmitt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Orval and Ellen Tisdale and Eugene and Francis Mazurek; and her siblings Myrna McLeod, Linda Jensen, Pam LeBaron, and Reginald Schmitt.
