On Sunday, March 16, 2025 Brooke Balciunas passed away unexpectedly at the age of 17 years.

Brooke will be forever remembered and loved by her mother: Chailene Whitehead; father: Derek Balciunas; 3 siblings: Kaiden, Sadey, Kolby; 2 traditional siblings: Anna, Treyton; grandmother: Paulette Janvier; grandfather: Harvey Whitehead; 3 great grandmothers: Evangeline Janvier, Elise Moses, Marie Kappo,; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Brooke was predeceased by her grandfather: Terry Balciunas; grandmother: Karen “Nannygoat” Whitehead; great grandparents: Rosie & Cyril Muskego, Louis Janvier, Joe Moses.

Wake, Sunday, March 23, 2025 (leaving Northern Lights Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville at 10:00 a.m.), E-Bay Centre, Cold Lake First Nations.

Traditional Ceremony, Monday March 24, 2025 at Noon, E-Bay Centre, Cold Lake First Nations with interment to follow at Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery.
