December 31, 1989 – February 13, 2025

On Thursday February 13, 2025 Ricci Amelia Youngchief of Kehewin Cree Nations passed away unexpectedly at the age of 35 years.Ricci is loving survived by her mother: Janet (Darcy) Whitstone; father: Rick (Wanda) Gadwa; brother: Beau (Nicole) Gadwa; sisters: Wynona Youngchief, Tenneille (Blaine) Dillon, Zoe (Ranen) Gadwa, Joie Gadwa; nephews: Drake Okanee, Rehn (Dawson) Okanee, Bishop Gadwa, Ronin Dillion; nieces: Maya Dillion, Bowie Dillion, Tallyn Gadwa; grandmother: Lillian Youngchief; grandfather: Henry Giant, as well as many numerous aunts and uncles, and extended family. Ricci was predeceased by her maternal grandfather: Gordon Youngchief; maternal grandmother: Sarah Dion; paternal grandparents: Henry and Theresa Gadwa.

On Monday, February 24 & Tuesday February 25, 2025 a two day wake will be held at Kehewin Recreation Centre, Kehewin Cree Nation, (Leaving Northern Lights Funeral Chapel at 12:00 p.m.)

Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Kehewin Recreation Centre, 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Community Cemetery, Kehewin, Alberta
