On Thursday, February 6, 2025 Jennifer “Jenny” Jacqueline Sherry Scanie of Cold Lake First Nations, passed away at the age of 58 years.

Jenny will be remembered by her daughter: Tessie Scanie

(Gabe Alburquerque); 2 beautiful granddaughters; Amarah Scanie-Alburquerque, Ayanna Scanie; children she welcomed into her home as her own: Maria Scanie, Michelle Scanie Wesley Scanie, Dana Scanie, Pamela “Buffy” Scanie, 6 siblings: Joe Scanie, Christopher (Marie) Scanie, Kathleen Scanie, Donna (Ron) Scanie, Arlene (Norm) Stuart and George Scanie; aunty/mom: Elsie Winnipeg; sister in law: Myrna Scanie; as well as numerous others that she loved and welcomed into her home and life.

Jenny is now in the arms of her husband: Gary “Brown” Collins; granddaughter: Alarah Alburquerque-Scanie; children: Josephine “Josie” Scanie, Dominic Scanie; parents: Scholastique and Dominique Scanie; siblings: Marvin (Noreen) Scanie, Harvey Scanie, David Scanie; biological father of her children: Leslie Janvier.

2 day Wake, Thursday, February 13 & Friday, February 14, 2025, Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre, Cold Lake First Nations.

Funeral Mass, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre, Cold Lake First Nations with interment to follow at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery.
