It is with great sadness Jadine Scanie and Craig Jackson announce the passing of there daughter Catalina Rose Jackson on May 18, 2021. Catalina also leaves her brothers; Xavier, Connor and Emmett, maternal grandparents; Beverly Scanie and Brian Roy, paternal grandparents; Lisa Calliou and Craig Sr. Jackson, maternal great grandmother; Mary Cardinal and numerous aunts and uncles. Catalina had joined her uncle; Brian Delphis Scanie-Roy, her maternal great grandparents; Francis and Madeline Scanie, Delphis and Rosie Roy and James Cardinal, her paternal great grandparents; Dolly Ann Calliou, Glady’s Calliou and Horace and Delores Jackson.
A vigil was held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre. Funeral Mass was held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Parish with Father Thomas Dieu as the celebrant. Interment followed at the Cold Lake First Nations Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were; Xavier Scanie, Micah Jacko-Wolfe, Gunner Jackson and Bravery Francois.
