Obituary For Alex James Cardinal January 15, 1936 – November 3, 2009 On Tuesday, November 3, 2009 Mr. Alex James Cardinal of Elizabeth Settlement passed away in Edmonton at the age of 73 years. Alex will be lovingly remembered by his adopted family Anne and Sam Larocque, Madeline, George (Mary), Mabel (Ken), Rene (Blanche), Raymond (Yvonne) and Gerald, cousin Ida and many friends. A prayer vigil was held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Elizabeth Settlement Hall. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marguerite d’Youville Parish, Elizabeth Settlement with Father Rene Realuyo as the celebrant. Interment followed at Elizabeth Settlement Community Cemetery with pallbearers; Mark and Josh Larocque, Walter Bourque, Frank Hunt, Winston Sagen and Mike Desjarlais.
