On Tuesday, September 13, 2016 Mrs. Clara Mary Jacknife of Elizabeth Settlement passed away at the age of 79 years. Clara leaves to remember her husband; Leo Roy, children; Elizabeth Jacknife ( Alex Blyan), Vivian Jacknife, Deloris Jacknife, Doris Jacknife, Sophie Jacknife (Vincent Janvier), Sonia Jacknife (Jason Cardinal), Dwayne Jacknife, John Jacknife, Dian Jacknife, Loretta Jacknife (Morgan Desjarlais), Daniel Jacknife (Lisa Lefebvre) and Leon Jacknife, 17 grandsons, 30 granddaughters, 29 great grandsons, 32 great granddaughters and 1 great great-grandson: Carter, siblings: Joe Cardinal, Jeanette Cardinal, Rene Cardinal and Kenny Cardinal, nephew: Joe Jacknife, god daughter: Judy Cardinal, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Clara was predeceased by the father of her children: Norman Jacknife, sons: Richard “David” and Robert “Bobby”, grandson: Derrick, parents: Philimon and Colin, siblings: Ralph Cardinal, Florence Anderson, Lena Whitford, Irene Daniels, Johnny Desjarlais and Bobby Cardinal, god parents: Tony and Vitaline Desjarlais.
Wake Saturday and Sunday, September 17&18, 2016 at the Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marguerite d’Youville Parish. Interment at Elizabeth Settlement Community Cemetery.
